  • Passo del Foscagno: open all the year round, allows to reach Livigno from the following direction: Sondrio-Tirano-Bormio-Passo del Foscagno-Livigno
  • Passo della Forcola: open only in summer (June-November), allows to reach Livigno driving through Swiss, following the direction: Sondrio-Tirano-Poschiavo (CH)-Passo della Forcola-Livigno or S.Moritz (CH)-Passo della Forcola-Livigno
  • Tunnel Munt La Schera: :open all the year round (toll tunnel, open with alternating one way), allows to reach Livigno driving through Swiss, following the direction: Bolzano-Merano-Tunnel Munt La Schera (CH)-Livigno or S.Moritz (CH)-Tunnel Munt La Schera (CH)-Livigno
For the guests who reach Livigno in Winter :

  • Passo del Foscagno: open all the year round, allows to reach Livigno from the following direction: Sondrio-Tirano-Bormio-Passo del Foscagno-Livigno

Info Passes

in this section you will find a real time update about the transit status of the main alpine passes which allows to get to Livigno. We remind all our guests that from 15/10 to 30/04 of each year it is obligatory to transit through the alpine passes with snow chains on board or winter tyres. To drive through the alpine passes which provide transit outside the national territory (Passo Forcola, Tunnel Munt La Schera, Passo del Forno/Ofenpass, Tunnel Vereina), you must have with you a valid id document for expatriation.

Max. width: 2,50 mt. - max. height: 3,60 m - toll system - open with alternating one way with traffic light

Current conditions: Regularly open every day, h24, with alternating one-way traffic, regulated by traffic lights.
From 18/05/2026 to 30/05/2026, the Tunnel will be closed to traffic at night due to maintenance work. Check the opening hours in the attached file.
